Taking it to new heights

Thursday, October 5, 2017. Come nightfall, the vast hotel grounds are revealed by a soft gradient of blues, pinks, greens and purples. Pink banyan trees, the rustle of palms that create shadows that appear to be dancing on the façade of the colonial chateau, the shimmy of supple dancers across ponds of water, the ethereal subtleties of colour and light that capture the newly revamped Heritage Le Telfair in a fleeting haze. Center stage, a girl in a gauzy white dress twists and turns across a dance floor on which is projected a mapping of kaleidoscopic butterflies and elements of nature. The sight is spectacular.

Five hundred guests – partners, friends, tour operators and key actors of the hospitality industry -, cocktail in hand, gathered to celebrate the reopening of the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort and the Heritage Le Château and its beautifully-landscaped gardens, renovated by Perrot & Richard, an architecture firm specialised in the restoration of historical monuments, whose works include the Banque de France, Piscine Molitor, Palais Royal, Grand Palais, Hôtel Matignon… The investment reflects the group’s desire to preserve the spectacular beauty of its patrimony and create a unique place in Mauritius.

Heritage Le Telfair reopening

Also celebrated was the launch of the ‘Heritage’ mother brand that encompasses the leisure and hospitality activities of the group in Bel Ombre: Heritage The Villas, Heritage Golf Club, Heritage Le Château, Heritage Nature Reserve, Heritage C Beach Club and the two exquisite five-stars, Heritage Le Telfair and Heritage Awali. The idea of a new brand identity is to expose the synergy between the various leisure and hospitality components, which guests have full access to.

Nouvelle identite d'Heritage Resorts

Heritage. The name resonates with that what is transmitted from one generation to another, our Mauritian identity, customs and traditions, the untamed southern coast, the Bel Ombre lagoon, our communities… A digest of experiences, sensations, savours, sights and smells, the Heritage brand embraces the extraordinary. To encapsulate the ‘extraordinary’, the artistic direction for the launch focused on creating a magical, sensory realm where the artists – local and international – invited the guests to discover the various facets of Heritage – beauty, emotion, nature, design, modernity and tradition.
