You have just arrived in Mauritius and you are a bit confused by the hot temperature, jet lag and sea air? And now we ask you to find your landmarks on an estate that spreads from the hills of Bel Ombre to the southern lagoon.
Fortunately, Heritage Resorts takes care of everything and especially of you and suggests to discover the site during a ride on a Segway. Two departures are scheduled every day, the first at 10.30am and the second at 2.30pm, you just have to book your guided tour at Cabana water sports centre.
Once you have made your reservation, you will meet with other guests at the C Beach Club and follow the guide. From the beach club, to the Château de Bel Ombre, La Place Du Moulin, Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort and Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, you will feel like this place has no secrets for you.
If you wish, you can also rent a Segway for one or a few hours ride and make your own idea of ??the site. If you have never driven such a vehicle, it is advised to make a first try with the guide during the free discovery of the Domaine.
Never heard of the Segway before?
The Segway is a quite revolutionary and trendy electric kind of transportation often used for guided tours, to get around the city, by security agents or for advertising displays.
You want to tame the machine? Just slightly tilt the body forward to move forward and backward to go backward, left or right to turn in one or the other direction. The Segway is a very responsive vehicle, so avoid sudden movements.
It is an eco-friendly vehicle which produces very little noise and go up to 20 km/h with a battery autonomy of approximately 8 hours (very fun to drive). The mean of transportation of the future? Time will tell, but for now you must try this during your stay in Mauritius.
