Since its launch in 2022, Sustainable Gastronomy Week has become a flagship event at Heritage Resorts & Golf, symbolizing the destination’s unwavering commitment to local, healthy, and environmentally friendly cuisine. For its 3rd edition, which will be held from October 7th to 12th, 2024, Heritage Resorts & Golf renews its ambition to offer an exceptional culinary experience, highlighting Mauritian products and sustainable practices.
A must-attend event
After hosting Michelin-starred chefs Christian Têtedoie and Thomas Collomb, this year Heritage Resorts & Golf is pleased to welcome Thibaut Spiwack, which offers creative, daring and responsible gourmet cuisine. Holder of both a Michelin star and a Green Michelin star, he will preside over the jury and offer culinary workshops, gala dinners, and other gourmet events showcasing Mauritian flavours.
A culinary competition at Château de Bel Ombre
To crown this week dedicated to eco-responsibility, Heritage Resorts & Golf presents an unprecedented competition featuring the best chefs from the estate. In the garden of Château de Bel Ombre, they will compete in real-time to create a menu within a set time, with guests able to watch the competition live. This event promises moments rich in emotion and flavour, reflecting the culinary challenges tackled by these kitchen artists.
Embracing Heritage Resorts & Golf’s philosophy
Sustainable Gastronomy Week perfectly embodies the philosophy of Heritage Resorts & Golf: celebrating authentic local flavours while promoting healthy, locally-sourced, and environmentally friendly food. We offer a true immersion into the Mauritian art of living, where every gourmet moment will be an opportunity to experience the balance of a committed cuisine using fresh, local products from short supply chains.
